Thanks for stopping by greggwrites, the online portfolio for Gregg Morris. I am a local freelance writer and editor who has called Central Oregon home for the past 16 years. Professionally, I have been putting pen to paper—so to speak—for the last decade. In 2016, I co-founded ModX, a web development company looking to redefine online presence for businesses and non-profits. I am Editor for Bend Lifestyle Magazine, which I helped bring to market. I am also Marketing Director for the 4 Peaks Music Festival.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in English and Spanish from Michigan State University. As a true jack-of-all-trades, my typical work week might include conducting an interview of a national level band, describing an adventure in the heart of the Three Sisters Wilderness, and creating copy for a green living tour guide.
In typical Bend form, summer sees him on a bicycle saddle, while winter knows me as a pair of skis, cutting through the Cascades’ fresh powder. You may also see me behind a guitar and mic performing with my band RiderByMySide.
I truly believe the measure of a town lies in its non-profits. To that end, I am a Board Member of Commute Options, and I support KPOV-Community Radio, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team, Meissner Nordic, Central Oregon Trails Alliance and DogPac.
